Privacy Notice
Version: 2026-10-v2. Last updated: 22 October 2026.
LinearGuide.com and Linear.guide (together, the “Sites”) are operated by DrKu Technology Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong. Business Registration address and postal correspondence: Room 2101D, 21/F, Nan Fung Centre, 264–298 Castle Peak Road, Tsuen Wan, New Territories, Hong Kong. This is the operator-confirmed BR address, not necessarily the Companies Registry registered office.
Information we collect
When you voluntarily submit a request for quotation (RFQ), we collect company name, contact person's name, work email, country, industrial guide category, optional manufacturer/model, quantity and written requirements. An enquiry record also contains a unique reference, consent/notice version, creation and status information and restricted internal notes. Operational logs may contain request time, IP address and other information necessary for security and troubleshooting. Do not enter unrelated sensitive personal data or confidential technical drawings.
Why we use it
We use RFQ data to receive and manually assess an enquiry, respond to your enquiry, clarify industrial product requirements, track internal follow-up, prevent abuse, secure and back up the service, and comply with applicable law. An enquiry does not enroll you in direct marketing and we will not treat the RFQ checkbox as marketing consent.
Is providing the data compulsory?
Making an RFQ is voluntary. Fields marked required are needed for us to review and respond; if you omit them, we may be unable to process your enquiry. Optional manufacturer or model fields may be left blank.
Who can receive or process information?
We limit business access to authorised personnel and may use necessary infrastructure, hosting, email, security and encrypted-backup service providers to operate the Sites. We may disclose data when required by applicable law. There is no automated RFQ transfer to manufacturers or suppliers. Before any manual introduction involving identifiable buyer information, we will explain the proposed recipient or class of recipients and obtain any required permission; no such transfer is implied by simply submitting an RFQ.
Processing locations and safeguards
Service providers may process information outside Hong Kong. Our service currently uses a Hostinger-hosted VPS, an email service and an encrypted off-site backup copied to a company-controlled Windows computer. The actual VPS data-centre location and additional processor locations are being verified; accordingly, data may be handled outside Hong Kong. You may contact our Privacy Officer for further information about current processing arrangements. We use transport protection, a restricted administrative pathway, access controls, and encrypted database backups. We review these arrangements as providers or systems change.
Data retention
Our policy is to retain RFQs that do not result in a transaction for up to 12 months after the last documented buyer contact (or initial submission when there has been no contact), subject to a documented exception for an ongoing enquiry, legal obligation, dispute or other lawful necessity. We review due records and carry out controlled deletion where appropriate; old backup copies expire through a separately managed rolling retention process. We target 90 days for routine security logs and 30 days for routine encrypted backups, subject to verified configuration and lawful exceptions. Records relating to completed transactions may require separate retention under applicable commercial, accounting and legal requirements. Contact our Privacy Officer about any particular record.
Privacy enquiries, access and correction
Contact Privacy Officer — DrKu Technology Limited at contact@drku.io or by post to Room 2101D, 21/F, Nan Fung Centre, 264–298 Castle Peak Road, Tsuen Wan, New Territories, Hong Kong. You may request access to or correction of personal data in accordance with the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (where applicable). We may take reasonable steps to verify identity before disclosing information. Requests will be handled within applicable legal time limits, including the 40-day statutory framework where applicable; other rights may arise under other applicable laws.
Cookies and analytics
The Sites use necessary security/session technologies such as CSRF protection. They do not enrol RFQ contacts in marketing automatically. We do not intentionally use advertising-tracking cookies or non-essential marketing analytics in the initial release. Third-party dependencies and cookie settings are reviewed before and after changes to the service.
Changes and questions
We may update this notice when our practices change, with a revised date. For privacy matters, contact contact@drku.io.
